This is such a lovely expression of the feelings you developed for your mom throughout her life and after. I guess we learn to appreciate the unstated sentiments more with time. The house is your mom's legacy and carries a rich history, even though it wasn't where she was born or grew up. It's amazing how you can see legacy of several generations in the house.
